Civil Engineering is arguably one of the oldest disciplines of engineering. The civil engineers play a vital role in planning, designing, constructing, and managing infrastructures such as buildings, skyscrapers, highways, bridges, transportation facilities, hydraulic structures, and drainage systems among others. Without the innovative methods and new techniques developed by civil engineers, modern complex building projects are not possible. Civil engineers have developed these innovative methods by continuous research.

Department of Civil Engineering at LUAWMS is committed to adopt the latest Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and Outcome-Based Assessment (OBA) systems as recommended by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). These principles will be followed to produce professionally sound graduates who could contribute to building an infrastructure for a better society. The civil engineering department believes in quality education and in creating a conducive learning environment for our graduate and research students. The department is included a wide variety of innovative modules to prepare the graduating engineers to plan, design and construct durable projects with professional confidence. These skills are further enhanced through mandatory internships, survey camps, community services and final year project.
