In the field of biotechnology, the cellular and biological processes are being exploited to produce functional products in the field of agriculture, livestock, environment, health care, industry and research. Major developments are being made in the field by the academic and professionals almost every day.

Almost all the advancements been made in the field of biotechnology have been achieved by using the combination biological and computer sciences that both make the discipline of “bioinformatics”

Bioinformatic tools are widely used to manage the vast genomic and proteomic data involving DNA/protein sequences management, drug designing, homology modelling, motif/domain prediction, docking, annotation and dynamic simulation etc. Bioinformatics offers a wide range of applications in numerous disciplines such as genomics.
