Department of Veterinary Surgery

Department of Veterinary surgery is actively involved in training of undergraduate students. The courses offered by the department include theoretical as well as practical (clinical) training courses. Experimental animals are housed for handing on practical training to students. The veterinary teaching hospital of the Department works hard to improve the health and well-being of animals and help in the subsistence and livelihood of people engaged with working and production animals. Which ultimately help to strength the economy of Pakistan. The hospital is providing veterinary health services in Balochistan and neighboring cities.The department is equipped with the state-of-the–art diagnostic imaging equipments i.e. X-ray and ultrasound facilities. A fully working operation theater is engaged in training the students and operating the small animals. These operating rooms are equipped with emergency equipments, anesthesia machines, Electrocardiogram (ECG) and oxygen units.

Mission of the Department of Veterinary Surgery is to improve, rehabilitate and advance the health and well-being of animals, uplift the livelihood of humans, protect and safeguard the environment, and uplift the veterinary profession through the provision of trained and skill manpower as a result of committed veterinary education, research and clinical services (both on-campus and off-campus), civic engagement trainings to the community at large.
